Plan your own fundraising
Unleash your creativity and plan your own fundraising event for Farm Africa. Whether it’s a bake sale, a quiz night or a sporting challenge, every effort helps empower farmers in eastern Africa.
Get started
- Choose your event: Pick something you’re passionate about and that will engage your community.
- Set a goal: Aim high! Your target will motivate you and your supporters.
- Spread the word: Use social media, emails and posters to promote your event and share why you’re supporting Farm Africa. Please remember to tag Farm Africa when you post on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn.
Fundraising ideas
- Vegetable, flower or herb sale: Grow your own produce and sell them at your school, workplace or local market. No garden? Why not bake or cook instead?
- Virtual events: Host a quiz night, music concert or fitness class online.
- Sporting challenges: Organise a sponsored run, walk or cycle in your local area, or sign up to an existing event: see details of events you can take part in on the Run for Charity website.

There are lots of ways that you can support Farm Africa through your workplace and we have lots of ideas to get you and your colleagues started.
Fundraise
Get a team of colleagues together to take part in an event, or better still, organise your own. You’ll have fun, learn new skills and get to know your colleagues better, all while doing good! Find out more about events above.
Match funding
Many workplaces match donations made to charity by employees. Find out if your employer has a match scheme and double the impact of your donation.
Payroll giving
Why not donate to Farm Africa directly from your salary for an easy, tax-efficient way to give regular support? The donation comes out of your pre-tax salary, so you aren’t taxed on that portion of your earnings, saving you money. It’s easy to set up, you can give as much or as little as you like, and you can stop or change your donation at any time. Your employer needs to be registered for payroll giving. Simply let your HR department know that you want to start a regular donation and they can set up a pre-tax deduction from your salary.
For more information about workplace giving contact the Farm Africa team on 020 7430 0440 or [email protected].
Giving in memory
Giving in memory of a loved one, friend or colleague is a special way of honouring their memory and supporting farmers in Africa to grow better futures for their families, and protect the natural resources they rely on.
