Friends of Farm update

It’s been a busy few months for our Friends of Farm this summer, kicking off with Bill Acworth’s Little Hidden Farm day. A lovely day in the sunshine, Bill took visitors on a farm walk, which was followed by a delicious lunch cooked by his wonderful volunteers, and an afternoon of craft activities with a live band. The Border Berries opened in July and began supporting us again through their ‘pick your own’ business and also held a car boot sale to raise further funds. The Kent and East Sussex Friends of Farm held their annual barn dance, in Tim Jury’s barn this July, raising more than £1400.  A great time was had by all! We visited some friends of Farm in Burbage, Wiltshire, for their monthly Coffee n Browse and enjoyed some wonderful hospitality from the Burbage ladies. We’ve still got the Kent and East Sussex Friends of Farm annual Ride for Africa coming up on August 26^th to look forward to.
