Friends of Farm update

It’s been a busy few months for our Friends of Farm this summer, kicking off with Bill Acworth’s Little Hidden Farm day. A lovely day in the sunshine, Bill took visitors on a farm walk, which was followed by a delicious lunch cooked by his wonderful volunteers, and an afternoon of craft activities with a live band. The Border Berries opened in July and began supporting us again through their ‘pick your own’ business and also held a car boot sale to raise further funds. The Kent and East Sussex Friends of Farm held their annual barn dance, in Tim Jury’s barn this July, raising more than £1400.  A great time was had by all! We visited some friends of Farm in Burbage, Wiltshire, for their monthly Coffee n Browse and enjoyed some wonderful hospitality from the Burbage ladies. We’ve still got the Kent and East Sussex Friends of Farm annual Ride for Africa coming up on August 26th to look forward to.
